Washington D.C. – a whirlwind tour, Part #1

Where to begin?   First, the Kreiling family visited DC on the weekend of April 4.  Nicky’s conference, the Junior National Young Leaders Conference (JrNYLC) began on Sunday, so we took Saturday as an opportunity to ride the Metro to downtown DC and look around.   We were in luck as the cherry blossoms were in bloom;

it also meant that the annual Cherry Blossom Festival was in full swing so there were LOTS of people in town.

Our first stop was the White House -

And then the Washington Monument – it was VERY windy!

Finally, on Sunday, the Little family drove down to join us.   We all deposited Nicky at the conference -

And the Little’s, along with Amy & Joey, headed north, while Uncle Walter headed south to home.   More to come…
