After much contemplation, my husband came up with the perfect solution to our issue of having a place for guests to sleep. For those of you who have visited, you know that the girls' bedrooms give a whole new definition to small. We thought we could put a daybed into one of the rooms for guests, but after measuring it out, there just wasn't enough room for even that....

So we switched rooms, Maddy is now in the smaller of the rooms and she was willing to only have her twin bed (no bunk beds) and then Katie went into the slightly larger room, but is able to have some of her most prized possessions in her room now. And the girls get a TV in there as a special treat for being so accomodating! :)

This is Maddy's new room:

I think Katie is happy to have her horsie stuff back. It had been residing in the "playroom", which was in the basement and she didn't like going down there. But I think she is now content. What do you think???? :)

I just stopped by the blog and saw all the newest postings. Inspired me to jump in too.

Of course this enclosure is nothing in the way of the informative and fun news all the rest of you folks post --- just some more of my nonsense.

I am working on a new book --- not really, but it's fun to goof around.
But if I were, here is what the cover would look like.

Spring is finally here in N.C.

Finally, we see some southern weather down here in North Carolina. Unfortunately, the weather only lasted for a couple days.  Here are some pictures of the beautiful flowers, plant life and dogs in our yards. 042 The 80 degree weather allowed us to get some long-wanted to do jobs.045The birds enjoy the weather too. :-)

048 The daisies are now in full-bloom.053 The yard isn't so pretty yet, but you wait. 054 Pictures by Joey Kreiling.

Walter's new car! (& a spring picture)

Walter's car finally died - after 11 years and many, many miles (146,000 miles!), the timing belt broke and bent the valves.   We sold it to the repair shop for parts and spent all day Friday searching for a new car.   After 12 hours of hard work and dealing with smarmy car salesmen, Walter found the car he wanted at the price we could afford!   Thanks to Dominique at Leith Volkswagen (shameless plug!) here's the beauty that has replaced me as the apple of Walter's eye!

As many of you know, Spring is arriving in the wonderful land of North Carolina.   Lucy was enjoying a warm Spring day when this picture was taken -

We had a beautiful day and headed out to the ski slopes last week. You gotta love skiing in March in PA. The ski shop by us was offering free ski rentals and the homeschool group had lift tickets for $18. With it being so cheap, we couldn't resist and even Dad played hookey with Maddy to join Katie and me on our ski outing.

This is what happens when Mom isn't paying attention in the lift line. But it does make for a good picture! :)

The girls and Dad went down this black diamond run that has moguls. (Mom took the safe trail down around the other side to be able to get these pictures.....)

Katie of course just flew down the slope.

Maddy of course attacks the slope a bit slower and is more methodical about her skiing...... :)

Some pictures of the girls.....

And just to prove that we were all indeed skiing together, here is one of those few and far between pictures of all four of us. Although I suppose you could question if that is indeed Craig, since he is so bundled up and that is VERY unlike my husband! :)
