We went to the Glencairen Castle and Cathedral today. Some wealthy family had a liking for the Middle Ages and built a castle for his collection of medieval stuff. Yes, his family did live in the castle! The girls are in front of the castle and then they are learning to carve stone. All the stones & iron work was hand-done in the early 1900's. They even made stained glass windows the same way as in the Middle Ages. I guess when you have a ton of money....

Must have bee a very interesting day. And what great fun!
Those girls are certainly getting a well-rounded education.
